Welcome Aboard!

This week we will embark on a cruise vacation unlike any other.  Join your “virtual” cruise director to nowhere!  From the comfort of your own chair, take a break and enjoy our extra activities, interactive games, and random bits of entertainment!

Activities That Need Nothing Else!

  • Have a Hawaiian Shirt contest! Residents can model their craziest shirt, and you can judge by applause.
  • Play our group Cruise Trivia 
  • Have a wine tasting in robes, play ocean music and sit in lounge chairs.

Cruisin' Snack Ideas

  • Let residents decorate their own flip-flop cookies with royal icing and fondant
  • Make “Shark Bait”
  • How about some blue Jell-O topped with whipped cream and an easy toothpick flag craft?

    • And of course, we need healthy snacks too!

  • Cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches into starfish, and decorate with honey!
  • Make banana dolphins in blueberry and yogurt cups. Use a marker for eyes, and then cut the end to insert one goldfish cracker to make it even more realistic!

    • Conversation Starters for your 1-on-1s

    These are great for conversations or writing prompts!
  • Have you ever been on a cruise? What was your most memorable experience?
  • If you could plan an excursion on shore, what would it include?
  • Make up a story about a lost object found on a cruise and who it belongs to.

  • Make colored sand for a fun sensory project, or layer it in jars or vases!
  • Craft an adorable Paper Plate Whale!
  • Paint some beach rocks with inspiring messages, ex, “Seas the Day!”
  • Make a paper plate ship scene that helps with dexterity and lacing.
  • Paint watercolor paper plate seashells
