There are SO many dog-related special days in August, that we just had to make an Activity Page dedicated to our love of dogs!!

Decorations
Some of the easiest and most fun ways to decorate for a Doggone Good party would be to include anything with Dalmatian spots, wolves, or any dog character is a great starting place. Pawprints, spots, accouterments for dogs – all will work! You can find almost anything with a Dalmatian print or pawprints! It will also keep your color theme to black and white with one bright accent color – this makes for fun photos!
Food and Drinks
If you give this party theme a try, here are some cute puppy dog themed party food ideas we considered – Hint: Serve snacks and dips into clean, new dog bowls for a fun party twist!:
- Hot Dogs & Corn Dogs– Take this simple staple up a notch by having a make-your-own Hot Dog Bar. Include lots of fixings, condiments, and toppings so party guests can make their own delicious creations. Veggie and gluten-free options are also available!
- Scooby Snacks can be purchased online
- Puppy Chow – Here’s a great recipe to try!
- Breadstick Bones – These are so clever!
- Bone Sugar Cookies or Rice Krispie Treats – cookie cutters are easy to find online
- Paw-Shaped Jell-O or Chocolates – Using this cute mold!
- Candy “Bark” – chocolate bark with pistachios and dried craisins is a great recipe!
- Fetching Sticks – Pretzel rods with a cute label!
- “Paw-p-corn” – All this needs is a fun label!
